4 Days in Athens: Food, Drink, Acropolis, History and Places to Explore

Athens Trip | Acropolis Athens Trip

We hit the road again, I came to Athens again. Before we started our adventure in this magical city, we loved our house here and quickly settled into our rooms.

Our first stop was Brettos, Athens' most famous and most instagrammed place, which has been making its own ouzo, brandy and liqueurs since 1909.

It fascinated us with its atmosphere and delicious drinks. Then we went to Elaia Restaurant right under the Acropolis and had dinner with this magnificent view.

Our second day in Athens started at the beach! We went to Edem Beach, just 10 minutes away, and fought the waves and collected rocks from the sea.

For dinner, we stopped by the traditional Taverna Ta in the Plaka area and enjoyed delicious Greek food.

Our third day was pretty busy. Our first stop was Boo Cocktail Bar, one of my favorite cocktail bars in Athens. We loved the bohemian atmosphere.

Visiting the Acropolis was also a must. We reached here by crossing the narrow roads and hills. The entrance fee may be 20€, but you shouldn't consider Athens as complete without experiencing it! After the Acropolis, we went to Fine Mess for dinner. This restaurant is in a great location and the food is both delicious and affordable.

Finally, we finished the day at Ciel, a magnificent terrace. The service staff here was very attentive and the view was amazing. This is where we ended our beautiful day in Athens.

Our fourth day started with shopping. We visited the souvenir shops and shopped for souvenirs. For our lunch break, we stopped by Kosmikon Restaurant, which we always passed by and wanted to sit in. After dinner, we continued exploring and took a break at Style Cafe, a cute cafe.

And finally, this special day was Funda's birthday! We made a reservation for dinner at The Spid Restaurant. Here we enjoyed delicious food and celebrated Funda's special day with great enthusiasm.

These 4 days we spent in Athens were the perfect time to discover this magical city that combines history in a wonderful way. As we set sail for new adventures and discoveries, the beauties of Athens will always live in our memories.
